The children are very helpless, they are very happy to get food. The number of children in brick kilns is increasing day by day in winter.
Brick kiln and slum children in India are deprived of basic meal. As a children they are malnourished and sick. So our foundation has launched the 'Ahhar' project to facilitate the distribution of nutritious food to the children of brick kilns and slums at the same time.

Challenge : The brick kiln/slum children migrate from other poor states in India and come to our state dreaming of better life. In our state they end up as beggars, ragpickers or child laborers. These children are deprived of basic food, malnourished and are victim of child abuse.

Solution : Dinabandhu Foundation Charitable Trust invite them to the 'Ahhar Project' across Hooghly district to have a nutritious lunch. there are 150+ children come for lunch. This foundation also distribute meal on food packts in brick kiln, slums on daily basis across hooghly district. It has two toto rickshow for 200 deprived children who are distribute with nutritious lunch, breakfast on daily basis.

Long-Term Impact : These children are malnourished, without proper clothes on them and psychologically disturbed. Dinabandhu Foundation helps them to get back to their proper childhood, education and better life. It gives them chance to dream again and have hope for future. Your support is highly appreciated in bringing hope to these needy children.

Thank you!

Food and clothing are the basic necessities of life. While food is required to maintain life, clothing is required to maintain one’s dignity in society. As we are aware, all are not blessed fully with the resources to meet these basic necessities and especially those who are below the poverty line. They have to literally struggle everyday to make both ends meet. Recognizing the need to support such people who are unable to earn their living, Dinabandhu Foundation has been regularly providing food and clothing to hutment dwellers, Adivasi residents, rural area residents, brick kiln children, street children, beggars etc.

we need to organise things better to ensure that people don't starve.
